Dental Bridge
Dental bridges, also known as fixed artificial tooth substitution, plainly cover the gap created by one or more lost teeth. A normal bridge is made up of three crowns (one on each side of the gap, capped onto natural teeth) and a synthetic tooth or teeth in between. Bridges are linked to adjacent natural teeth or dental implants for support. The anchor teeth are called bridge teeth, and essential act as pillars of support for the prosthetic teeth to be replaced. The artificial/false teeth that repair the missing tooth/teeth are referred to as pontics. Pontics can be created from ceramic, gold, porcelain, metal alloys, or a mix of various materials.
Dental Crown
Teeth are likely to become damaged, cracked, or damaged by decay over a long period. Dentists advise a synthetic crown or a ‘cap’ to cover a fractured tooth, improve the strength, and reduce the fracture tendency. Crowns are matched to the color of your natural teeth, and hence, apart from strengthening an impaired or weakened tooth structure, these are usually widely used to improve the look of your teeth, shape, and alignment of teeth.
